These weekend trips to San Francisco gave us an opportunity to discuss life in America and our goals and aspirations in life. After completing his PhD in biochemistry, Margez returned to Aliga and joined the chemistry department. The rest of his academic life at aligad is a glorious legacy well known to most of his students, who are gathered here to pay tribute to Marchi Sideki as a scientist, teacher, and researcher. Every young man or woman who has traveled abroad to earn a degree and further his or her academic goals has had to face and important decision whether to stay on in a foreign country or return home.

It is appropriate to mention that Professor ab dulmages he was fortunate to have a wife in Jamila, who was an exemplary companion in both happiness and in the trials and revolutions of life. Marjid has established a legacy of academic pursuit and excellence, as well as service to family and community.

And he was very very intelligent, you know, and very very honest, and anybody who would come and ask for help, he would immediately help. And that's why I think Rasulala accepted him as his personal friend. And I have taken as a as a valley, you know. And this Ramadan, I'm remembering my father a lot. I first met Professor Sidi in nineteen eighty six when I arrived at when I arrived in a legal Muslim university AMU to pursue my Master of Science MSc and biochemistry, accompanied by my father. Within a couple of days of my arrival at MU, the classes started and I could not believe it was the chair of the department, Professor Sidiki, who was teaching the biochemistry class. In the afternoon, we were introduced to Lellenger's Principles of Biochemistry as a text with a clear message to the class from the instructor, ask any questions. There are no stupid questions in life and biochemistry. I was thrilled with that statement, as I knew that I could address and discuss all questions at the end of the chapters in the text. Professor sid and I had numerous meetings in his office discussing these questions about biochemistry and life.
