At the age three dollars so the Lieutenant Governor. Miller's achievements, daughter of immigrant and engineer turned the Lieutenant governor, should be an inspiration for young people because of the possibility, because the possibilities are endless in the state of Maryland, Montgomery County and the United States of America. Who should take note of that, our children, our daughters and ourselves. And I recall in one of the interviews she said, we see you and will fight for you. We'll address the inequities of the past and build the Maryland where everyone will thrive.

He's been such a great leader, not just to the Muslim American community here in Montcarmi County in Maryland, but throughout the nation and to others as well. And I have to

22:59 tell you that over the years, he counseled me, he mentored me, he shared every bit of his love and affection that he does as you all know, with me, and I'm grateful to have known him. And he passed away as you know, on January twelve, twenty twenty two, and there's been a big void in the community for all of us here in the state without his leadership, but his legacy moves on because he taught every one of us the importance of service, to give as much as you can and as often as you can. He would invite me many times to the mont Army County Muslim Foundations food drives and I would you come there. He would hardily, you know, hug me and tell me how happy he was to see me. And I'm just so thankful for the legacy that he left behind, not just in me, but I'm sure to everyone that's in this room today. So with that again, I want to say Ramadan Mvarik and how thrilled Governor Westmore and I am to be also to have the privilege of serving all of you here in Montcarmy County as well as in the state of Maryland.

24:12 Now, much like the mont Army County Muslim Foundation, we also want to create a hunger free and a hate free society. We are thankful for the leadership for the MCMF for this. In this space, we also want to encourage a life of service, much like what the Montarmy County Muslim Foundation encourages the members to do. In fact, just yesterday, Governor Moore announced the new director of a new department that we are creating whose sole purpose is to encourage young people and the greater community to lead a life of public service service over all. And this is the first time in the nation that a state will actually create a department totally focused on service and civic innovation. And again, we learned this from every one of you, how important it is to give back to our community and every way we can. So again, this is something we all share together on our administration looks forward to implementing.

25:26 We also believe that we want to create a state that's inclusive and diverse as a state is. So we want to make sure our administration looks like the State of Maryland. And we are proud to have two Muslim Americans as secretaries in this leadership roles in the cabinet. So we're proud to have Secretary Atav Chaudhari, who is a head of Department of General Services, as well as Superintendent Muhammad Chaudhuri. As a matter of fact, when we the Governor and the First Lady hosted if DAR last week, it was the first religious ceremony and celebration that they have ever done in the Government House. So we will continue to do this inch and every single year. We want the Muslim American community to feel welcome and they will always have a seat at the table. We are going to build a state that is equitable where everyone can thrive. As you heard earlier, that is the mission of the more Miller administration, that we will build a state where no one is left behind. In two thousand and three, a group of Muslim residents under the leadership of mister Tophairehman and talked to Rehmand with other Muslim leaders, formed Montgomery County Muslim Council with the objective to engage the Muslim community in civic, humanitarian and political engagement in Meriland, encouraging Muslim to reform community service projects for their county and put into practice what the islam fay Islamic fail encuage us to do so. Mcmc lady started with very limited funding and other resources were very very tight, and started off in three projects, conducting food drive for Manner and distributing Christmas and Thanksgiving class kIPS. By two thousand and threes through eight, these programs had been further developed and became better known to the county government and the public. The then county Executive I Cleggett invite MCMs leadership and told them that MCMC was doing great work and service to the county and they recommended that MCMC set up an independent nonprofit so that they can be eligible for grants which can really benefit them in their nonprofit one. This was the genesis for our setting up at the MCMF an independent nonprofit in two thousand and eight. The county then allocated its first grant or eighty five thousand to us in two thousand and nine. So where we are today, next life

So we right currently run we have like five major programs in the areas of food, in the areas of refugee rehabilitation, youth programs, Seniors, Women Empowerment, and Clothing division. So all our program programs really mainly fall under the food program that has really expanded quite a bit in twenty twenty two, so food service program distributed over two hundred thousand pounds of food to the needing residents. Food Pattery distributed around one thirty three thousand, five eighty pounds of groceries and every month we have a drive through distribute. So this was the part two of MCMCNMCMF of tar in collaboration with County Montgomery County Executive.
