Recognition of his research work includes US Patent No. 3, 62, 94, 49 dated December 21, 1971 on 'A Process of Combating hypercholesterolemia wherein 3-hydroxy-e-methylglutric acid'. He had also been a member of different academic and administrative bodies of the AMU. He was the first provost of Mohammad Habib Hall. Prof. Siddiqi was the son-in-law of Prof. Abdul Aleem, former, Vice Chancellor of the Aligarh Muslim University.
