My interest in Qatar and US relations have been long. The United States and Qatar enjoy a strong commercial, political, and security relationship. With just 300,000 citizens, Qatar enjoys among the highest gross domestic product (GDP) per capita in the world and looks to overseas partners to achieve strategic goals, as outlined in Qatar National Vision 2030, creating opportunities for U.S. businesses in multiple sectors.
I would like to take delegations to Qatar from US and host delegations from Qatar. After President Trump's visit there will be lot of business between Qatar and US. President Trump has signed a series of multi-billion dollar deals, deepening cooperation in trade and defence. On the second day of his visit President Donald Trump was welcomed by the Emir of Qatar in Doha. It marks the first official visit to Qatar by a sitting US president. The agreements are seen as a major step in strengthening strategic relations between the two countries.
